Did my drawing in a sketchbook...then decided to add color using watercolors, but I realize now that if I'm going to be working with watercolors, I need to use watercolor paper. Using watercolors on drawing paper gives a result that I'm not pleased with.

I like all the color variations!
love the plant and adding watercolour was a great idea!
I really like the flowing colors of your leaves. I like the Robert Bateman sketchbooks. They are heavier paper 100 lbs. I think. They take pen and watercolor nicely though the pages in my books do get wavy but I like that.
The results look fine in this photograph.
Thanks for all your positive comments.
Your watercolor is lovely!
Is that a silk-dye painting that I see stretched on a frame behind you in your portrait? I have done 3 big quilted pieces that can be seen on my blog - in the threads category.
Gorgeous colors!
I prefer watercolor paper also, but this is wonderful!
