I was experimenting with a different technique for the background on this painting...yuck! I was very disappointed in the result...so I kept painting and painting...so, to try to salvage the painting...I pulled out a pen and added some ink lines. I hate to throw a painting in the trash. Maybe I'll just cut this one up and create an abstract collage.

beautiful daffodil. I too enjoy working in watercolor, but I find that I don't make time for it....I keep telling myself I'm going to paint on my day off and then I get busy with chores, cleaning, errands, etc. How do you make the time for art?
Thank you. One thing that helps me is that I'm retired...so every day in my week is like Saturday...lol!
I kinda like the dark background - it is unexpected, and takes you a minute, and then you begin to enjoy the colors in the background. Don't trash this one! Maybe it is time for Michael's OWD theory! (One White Dot) - if I haven't told you about it, I'll email you about it.
