For heavens sake! I came to say, 'Love the washes/blending of those rich colours of the shadow and the pot" but now I'll say "your perky geranium is bright and cheery I guess that we are now seeing the rich colours that you're painting". Lovely.
such a happy looking little pot with a happy looking plant and the flowers are just happily blooming. :) Makes me happy this painting, and it's just so well done!
I think you captured it well. I've been wanting to paint flowers too. A lady in the office next to me has a gorgeous orange flowering thing (I don't know what it is) and I need to take a pic so I can paint it. I can't just sit in her office and paint on work hours...pity.
I am an artist who enjoys drawing; painting; creating silver, enameled and beaded jewelry; photography; and digital art. I also enjoy playing a dulcimer.
In 2007, I discovered the mountain dulcimer and I've spent the last couple of years learning to play this instrument.

Beautiful shadows on the clay pot!
It's lovely, and the colors are clear and bright! nancy
Such a strong drawing and great use of color!
This is lovely, Carolyn, I like the pot and the loose shadow beneath. Aren't geraniums fun to paint!

I especially like the way you have painted the petals - beautiful.
