I'm trying to work on backgrounds...and painting petals...trying not to overwork them. I think I like this one better than the one below...but my pansies have wilted and are no longer blooming. I'm having to work from photos and I'd rather work from the real thing. So...maybe I'll do a different plant.

I like both versions. The backgrounds are great. I often worry about ruining my watercolours with backgrounds. Yours has added to your flowers and enhanced them.
Thanks for all the positive comments. I know that to get a nice looking background, I need to wet the paper first and let it set...then wet it again and THEN paint...but...I get in too big a hurry sometimes. Then I'm not happy with the results.
