My yard...the last of the azaleas...

(image after learning to adjust the colors and values of my scans)

(first scan prior to learning to adjust colors and values)

Finally, I've had a chance to do some more painting...finished this one tonight.

Added note: I've been playing around with my new printer/scanner...trying to figure out how to get the colors in the image to look more like the painting. The top image is MUCH better.

This is a lovely painting. We in the frozen north are still waiting for our azaleas to bloom. Unfortunately I don't have the skill yet to paint them

If smoothness and calmness are what you're trying to radiate in this painting, then I could say that this one is blasting with those fine elements ^^ I absolutely adore the background. The flowers are just as perfect as all the flowers you've been doing :) Thanks for painting this!

This is a wonderful painting. The colors are so soothing...I can feel the sun coming through the trees!
Very nice!

Perfect in its setting of luscious greens...don't see much of that where I live...Nice work! :)

This is beautiful. It is a wonderful view of the bush and flowers. I have great problems with my scanner too. I am still learning how to adjust- capturing the lighter, softer tones is the most difficult.

Thanks to all of you for your very inspiring comments. On this one, I was really trying to capture the sunlight through the trees.
